A continuation of the original Rakghoul Pandemic event, the new worldwide Server Recurring Event Rakghoul Resurgence first occurred on the 21st of January 2014 and ended 28th of January 2014. This time around, they added the T.H.O.R.N. association and the below missions and rewards. This new version of the event is expected to return every so often in different locations.

Overview[]
You initially start the event by using a news terminal in the Imperial / Republic fleet. Then you travel to the associated planet to help the T.H.O.R.N efforts to stop the rakghoul plague.
Note: This event is for people that are at the level range or higher of the planet the event occurs on. Anyone of this level and higher can participate and all the enemies will be the level range of the highest level player in your group.
Infection[]
The rakghoul event can be spread by a common individual getting infected by the rakghouls in or near the event. That infected individual will then spread the plague by going into stage 3 and exploding resulting in death. Alternatively, anyone killed while in stage 2 would spread the disease to any nearby. By this process the rakghoul plague can be spread. As mentioned previously the rakghoul infection has 3 stages.
Stage 1: The person is infected and coughing fits have a 10% chance of occurrence.
Stage 2: The person is greatly infected and the immune system is failing. Coughing fits have a 20% chance of occurrence. Dying while in this stage will spread the disease.
Stage 3: The person is completely infected and is about to turn into a rakghoul and explodes spreading plague all over.
Cure: The rakghoul vaccine found from most medical droids on planets can be acquired for 
Credits (2,000).
